About Craic Sauce

Craic Sauce is a Lowell-based, seed-to-sauce hot sauce company built around local farming, small-batch production, and community connection. We grow or source our ingredients from local farms, make our sauces ourselves, and sell them directly to customers, restaurants, and retailers across Massachusetts.

Good craic is our guiding light.
“Craic” is a Gaelic word for good fun, good conversation, and good company, but for us it goes deeper than that.

At Craic Sauce, good craic means being hands-on, community-oriented, and people-first. It means showing up to farms, kitchens, markets and events with energy, curiosity, and care and working positively with our neighbors.

We exist to make the highest-quality sauces we can using locally grown produce and to do it in a team-oriented, craft-driven way that creates unique flavors and highlights the excellence of our hyper-local food and community system.

The Role

We’re hiring a Marketing & Hospitality Summer Crew Member to join our core Craic Crew. This is a hands-on, fast-paced, face-to-face role for someone who wants to help build a brand from the inside out—on the farm, in the kitchen, at farmers markets, and out in the community.

This role is roughly:
60% Craic Crew (farm, kitchen, markets)
40% Marketing & Hospitality (content, events, outreach, brand building)

You’ll help extend the values of Craic Sauce: people-oriented, gathering-focused, and fun into our daily work and how the public experiences our brand.

This is not a desk job. You’ll be on your feet, outdoors, in kitchens, at markets, and at events and when you are working on your computer, working on high impact work and specific deliverables. You must be based in or able to commute to Lowell and have reliable transportation.

Marketing & Hospitality Responsibilities (≈40%)

Content & Storytelling

  • Create ~4 content pieces per week (photos, videos, captions, simple designs) for IG, TikTok, YouTube, email, and website
  • Capture real work: farming, cooking, markets, events, behind-the-scenes moments
  • Handle photography, videography, and audio capture in the field
  • Help organize and manage content files and publishing flow

Sampling, Events & Hospitality

  • Introduce customers to new sauces through sampling at events
  • Help host tastings and events at the Craic Sauce office
  • Welcome visitors, buyers, collaborators, and community members
  • Represent the brand with warmth, confidence, and professionalism

Grassroots Marketing & Outreach

  • Drop off bottles to chefs and retailers with marketing collateral
  • Help target and support events (e.g., food festivals)
  • Assist with light wholesale outreach (knocking on doors, introductions)

  • Assist with basic HubSpot and Shopify tasks
  • Help track outreach, leads, and follow-ups
  • Support email and campaign execution

Craic Crew Responsibilities (≈60%)

Kitchen & Production

  • Participate in production cooks
  • Follow food safety, cleanliness, and kitchen protocols
  • Learn and perform tasks including dishwashing, vegetable prep, equipment operation, and cleaning
  • Be reliable, punctual, and ready to learn

  • Assist with weeding, pruning, trellising, and harvesting

This Might Be a Great Fit If You:

  • Love food, farming, craft, and local systems
  • Enjoy working with people and being the face of a brand
